Under the city oak wilt protection ordinance (posted on the city website), pruning of live oak trees is permissible only from June 15 through February 15th each year.  Please refer to the ordinance for proper licensing of commercial tree-trimming services.  If you need the city arborist to evaluate any of your trees (not just live oaks) for stress or potential disease, contact city hall.
